About Artem
From the Dnipro to the Rhine.
Artem Kokotun was born and raised in Kyiv. In his hometown, he created bespoke cakes, developed his own dessert concepts at OCTO, and organized pâtisserie production. His intricately molded desserts went viral on social media and brought his work to a wider audience.
In Bonn, he developed and produced desserts at Madame Monsieur. He then worked as a Konditor at Maritim Hotel Bonn. Today, he works as a Konditor at Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel & Spa Petersberg.
He graduated with distinction from the college of the National University of Food Technologies in Kyiv. More than 30 professional courses and masterclasses deepened his skills, including pâtisserie with Nina Tarasova, éclairs and macarons with Saba Janjgava, and croissants and brioche with Emmanuel Hamon.
In 2026, the Cologne Chamber of Crafts recognized his Ukrainian professional qualification as equivalent to German training as a Konditor.
